Hello! I’m Cherry, a coloured pencil wildlife and pet portrait artist based in Hertfordshire, England. I started my art business in the winter of 2017 and have had the absolute pleasure of drawing hundreds of pets over the years.
I create hand-drawn bespoke artwork, from photos, using professional coloured pencils to capture your beautiful pets and wildlife on paper. My love of drawing started in secondary school – it always fascinated me how artists could make such realistic work and I’ve been a hoarder of sketchbooks and art supplies since.
Having completed my foundation degree in illustration at Hertfordshire University in 2016, I quickly became engrossed with coloured pencils – drawing before, during and after work. I couldn’t get enough! It was another 18 or so months before I quit my job and jumped straight in the deep end with Cherry Watson Illustration.
